December 2018 Fine Art Sale - Prices Realized Highlights

Our strong performing December 2018 Fine Art, Sculpture, & Objects Sale was led by Ivan Aivazovsky’s 1863 oil on panel Ayu Dag in the Crimea ( 7” x 9 3/4 “ ) with a price realized of $156,250. The scene is of Crimea and is one of the Russian Armenian artist's most desirable of subject matters. Signed lower left and dated 1863 and with a London panel, it is believed to have been exhibited in London in the artist's 1863 exhibition.
